Question:
Does anyone have any experiences of looking for a job in Australia as
an IT sales person? I am expecting to get our Visa in the next few
months ( we just finished our medicals) and this is the field that I
am planning to go into once I get there.
I have been searching the job sites and I see that there are a lot of
opportunities for sales. I am just not sure if they are willing to
accept "Migrants" as sales people down under.
Inputs anyone?

Your best bet is to get into the agencies over there. I dont personally
rate many of the job websites as they are not always up to date or show
all jobs. One thing though is that I have come to find there isnt vast
amounts of Jobs in the IT arena and they are often heavily oversubcribed
with applicants. You may want to directly contact some well known
companies directly.
I am actually in the silicon chip industry, specialising in networking
at a chip level and also sales and have recently been trying to spread
my skills by taking a Cisco course to make me more 'out of the box'.
However I have not found much on the web for a very experienced
Digital Apps engineer, or a less experienced networking eng. I am
still hopeful though as a work colleague moved over there and had
success through an agency quite quickly in melbourne. probably the
jobs go b4 they get to the web
I would be interested in what you find out as my best role would be
similar to what your looking for.
