3. ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
3.1. Council
The Women's
Association of Small & Medium Businesses
Executive
Committee is governed by the
Executive
comprising of a President, two Vice-Presidents, a Secretary and a Treasurer.
The first
Executive
Committee
will be an appointed system until the first election.
Each member of
the
Executive
Committee shall be voted in by the members-at-large. In order to be eligible,
a Committee member must have been a member in good standing for at least one year
and possesses a good reputation.The President
has a term of three years. Each term is renewable by election.
3.2. Members
WASMB membership is open to all women who (a) have at least one year of working
experience, (b) own a formal or an informal business or is a professional, and
(c) have been nominated or recommended by an existing member.
There are two categories of membership: (a) corporate membership, and (b)
individual membership.The geographic
location of WASMB membership shall be nationwide.
A member in
good standing pays the annual corporate or individual membership due and
participates in WASMB activities.
3.3. Budget
The main budget shall come from membership dues and
services fees. Outside funding shall be sought
for special projects and to supplement the operating
budget from membership and services fees.
