2.1. Networking and Solidarity
The Women's
Association of Small & Medium Businesses believes that there is strength in
numbers and that the women must organize in order to be heard more effectively,
especially when the women represent the most vulnerable population of society. Thus, WASMB provides a forum for women to come together to build business and social
networks and linkages, and in the process, to build solidarity.
2.2. Resource Center
WASMB understands that information is power.
WASMB aims to be a source for information and
resources for women. For example, WASMB can
assist a woman who is interested in
borrowing from a micro-credit finance institution to
prepare the documentation and meet with the
appropriate individuals.
2.3. Forum for Learning and Sharing
of Experiences
As important as building economic opportunities
for women is the building of social support and
capacity. WASMB serves as a forum where women
can come together to share and learn from each other
in every aspect of life.2.Promotion of Rights,
Opportunities and Entrepreneurship of Women
WASMB believes in the empowerment of women. Currently, Cambodian lacks economic
opportunities and social equality for women, who comprise over half of the
population and form the backbone of society. WASMB aims to promote the rights
and opportunities of women, and encourage more and more engagement of women in
the economic and social life of society.
