Answer:
-We can give you some clues to help you carry out your own research.
If you want to find websites that talk about a certain subject:
Go to: http://www.dejanews.com/
_______________________________________________
Quick Search for: |_____jobs & hong kong_______________________|
Find Articles *Find websites (Interest Finder)
Click "Find websites" and enter a keyword or words. Deja News will
give you a list of all the groups where the keywords have been
discussed. Clicking on a group name will give you all the articles in
that group which contain your keywords. Read the articles that DejaNews
pulls up for you to see what others have had to say. This will save you
a lot of time in selecting groups of interest to you, from the more than
20,000 available.
Also search by profession. I would search DejaNews for
(jobs & journalism)
You definitely will want to start reading news:soc.culture.hongkong
and perhaps news:alt.jobs.overseas
Do a web search for "jobs hong kong". I used MetaCrawler and saw a
number of leads including Hong Kong Jobs at: http://www.hkjobs.com/
Newsweek Magazine recently recommended the following web sites for job
hunting:
America's Job Bank....... http://www.ajb.dni.us
Career Mosaic............ http://www.careermosaic.com
The Main Quad............ http://develop.mainquad.com
The Monster Board........ http://www.monster.com
Online Career Center..... http://www.occ.com
Yahoo! Classified........ http://classifieds.yahoo.com
- if you've been reading the papers or watching CNN, you should be
aware that Britain is in the process of returning control of Hong Kong
to the Chinese government in Beijing. I believe the communists
officially take over at midnight on June 30/July 1. This being the case,
I would doubt that there is much career opportunity for an American
journalist there.
