Question:
We are preparing to hire a Paradox programmer, mid-level (comfortable with
OPAL, very little GUI stuff). It is a full-time position with benefits
(health/dental).
The job is in Sacramento, California.
I am looking for "average" salaries for this type & level of programmer.
Does anyone have a resource where this type of information might be
available?

-There's no Paradox specific category, so you'll have to go for DB
Analyst or something
like that. I think ComputerWorld magazine have salary survey. Or just
search for
salary survey on the net, you should find lots.
-I suggest one million dollars a week, and I'll be the first applicant!
I don't know what it would be in dollars, but we hire at levels between
£20000 up to really high levels for excellent programmers. However, these
wages reflect the fact that they have experience with other languages prior
to employment.
