I am in NY. ofcrouse I am looking in my local papers like crazy. but
there are very very few entry level jobs in Networking....even help
desk! Any Tips?
Answer:
I have no respect for headhunters. If you go that route be very careful
what you sign. I found my entry level job through the state job listings for
Virginia. Local government, schools & colleges, large companies who don't
use consultants are, in my opinion, your best bet.
For entry level, you are going to have sell your potential, and that
implies going to a company large enough to employ you for a while and
willing to take a risk. A smaller company might be a better bet if you have
specific job experience in that industry. Of course, I'm not in NYC, so you
might have to wait for Stan or Heather to give you a better perspective.
