What the Canadian government really Is

Question:
If our government just spent the taxes they brought in, things would be great. There would be no debts, and they would have to restrain their out of control inefficiency.

Obviously we have a massive debt. 40% of our taxes go to paying interest. Our government is so eager to expand they are taking on loans to cover their boondoggles and their inefficient socialist programs. This ensures that if you have a kid, they are born with a debt over their head.

Where do these loans come from? Well that's pretty easy - banks. Banks love giving loans to governments. Banks don't like conservative governments. They tend to want to be small and not spend much. Banks love socialist governments. They waste a lot of money, and bankers like that. I would bet bankers also help politicians with their campaigns to make sure the "correct" people get into power.

Treaudeau is their hero. He raised our debt by 10x over his term with stupid social programs, like forcing French on the rest of Canada. The debt doubled under Brian Mulroney. They probably liked him too - but not as much as old Pierre.

When the Reform party began gaining power, I bet they freaked out. The Reform party wanted to reform the government, spend money responsibly, and lower the debt. Is it any wonder they were vilified by the socialist crown corporation known as the CBC?

The Bank of Canada is not a government institution. Neither is the U.S. Federal Reserve, even though they have names that make us think they might be. These institutions are not under the power of our government. In fact, the opposite is likely true - governments are under the power of these banks.

The government is beholden to the banks. They can stop giving loans at any time. They can call in their loans and bankrupt the government. The banks have major leverage over our government. We see banks exerting control over social policies in third world countries who they give loans to. Why do we think it would be any different here in Canada?

This needs to change. Let's demand that our government can only spend what they can raise in taxes. It will keep our government from doing what it has already done - spend itself out of control.

Answer:
-Well they'll still spend, so you'd better get prepared for a 99% tax rate. Or maybe more.
