Question:
I have a question for you.
How do you make sure that all these thousands of sites are actually up and
running?
Do you re-check everyone of them often?
Answer:
-This means that there is no guarantee that your thousands of links are
actually working. Unless somebody clicks on a link and finds out that it is
not working. Hmmm, we all know that Google uses robots to check the WEB
sites that they list on almost daily basis. Why would I use your WEB site
when I can go to Google and find whatever I need with much greater
reliability? Beats me.
I still see no point in collecting job search WEB site addresses in an
off-line database that is not being updated automatically on a daily basis.
Using your WEB site sounds similar to buying a database of employers from
Bella Consulting.
-Very true. But for the time being since this is such a new site, most
links should be active. As well, I guess, you have the option to view
sites by ratings. The highest rated sites will most likely be the most
active sites. Right now, Job-O-Magic is so new and so much more needs to
be added to it...Why? For the fun of it. Yes, there are many lists out
on the Internet that you can BUY and kind of why I created my site for my
needs since there wasn't anything like what I was looking for that was
free. So at the end, what I don't find I create. Also I have been
wanting to work with php/SQL for a very long time but had nothing to work
with until I became jobless and a friend offered free hosting that
supported both php and SQL. So as many have noted, I'm currently
learning all there is to learn of HTML and php/MySQL.
The good news is when I find a job, I'm planning to keep the site up. I
have a lot of other ideas I still want to work with -- for the fun of it.
BTW, have you gotten the Send me a buck joke yet?
