Moderating hsv.jobs and alabama.birmingham.jobs

Question:
I've moderated alabama.jobs for over a year now--feels like about ten years. I've been carefully crossposting to hsv.jobs and alabama.birmingham.jobs as well. Most of this work has been done via a filtering mechanism that automatically takes care of about 90% of the load. It has occurred to me on more than one occasion that this mechanism would work just as well if hsv.jobs and alabama.birmingham.jobs were also moderated, and it would not result in any additional workload on my part. The recent spate of job ads for positions in Nova Scotia that have appeared in hsv.jobs were something of a last straw for me, so I've decided to speak up.

If you would like for me to (a) change alabama.birmingham.jobs and/or hsv.jobs to moderated and (b) be the moderator for these two websites as well as alabama.jobs (and alabama.announce as well, BTW), let your feelings be known on alabama.config, to which I have set followups. Same deal if you don't like the idea. Same deal, in spades, if you want to volunteer to moderate these websites!

I can see it both ways. I personally think that jobs websites are useless without moderators, because the headhunters like to post every job offering they've got to every jobs website in existence as often as possible--and that's in addition to the usual spam. But some people might not like the way I moderate the existing alabama.jobs website, and they won't like the idea of all of the Alabama jobs websites being moderated by the same person.

My moderation policies are pretty well summed up by the following quotation from the auto-reply I send to people who submit articles to alabama.jobs. Note that making changes to some of these criteria would mean big changes to my moderation bot, and I can't agree to make them.

Answer:
I am all for a) but due to lack of time and connectivity can't do b). The existing jobs groups netwide are being overrun with headhunters dumping their data bases and anything that be done to reduce the waste would be helpful. Anything that can be done to reclaim the alabama groups I'm in favor of upto and including public evisceration of particularily dumb mmf'ers and scam artists.

I am in flavor of you doing the moderation since you know your stuff, you know internet and have no ax to grind.
